Well, if it were Portuguese (and it is not), "por favor" (separate words) would mean "please", not "thank you".

BTW, in Spanish, "thank you" is "gracias".
The original phrase may not be Greek, but it is not Spanish either.

Maybe it´s Esperanto :-)
