work permit in Greece/legal residence after marriage

Hi,
Does anyone have information and advice to give on the process of obtaining a work permit in Greece? Also, how does one legitimize legal papers, i.e. residency and passports, after marriage? I am a US citizen, my partner is a Greek citizen.

The last message was posted in response to a similar question was in Greek--a language I have yet to become fluent in.

I'm leaving for Athens this month!
