Gina, I am glad to see you keep connected to your heritage. I am also glad to see you are not xenophobic.

It is one thing to point out problems, it is quite another to help solve them. Also living in Greece is not like living in the US. For one thing there are many more Greeks. The only advice I can offer is to read about your heritage and come to understand as much of it as you can. This will make you an amateur historian! I try not to turn away from those who dis Greece/Greeks. I feel there is too much of it happening.

: Dimous person was so ashamed of being greek. Personally I love it. I used to live in Tenafly,NJ which was a mostly Korean and Jewish neighborhood,so when Dimous was talking about Greeks in his site it was like how he was talking about most Koreans or Israelis in my school. (I'm not Korean-bashing! most of my friends are oriental so....) It was like Greeks just clicked and socialized amongst themselves,sometimes that may be the case but still it can't be all the time right?
