: : : The Trio Belcanto, at one time, sang with Nikos
: : : Gounaris. I'm not sure if that album is still in
: : : print, but was for a long time, due to the Gounaris fans. They did record, for a long time
: : : on this east coast Greek label called Grecophon.
: : : I'm not sure if that company exists anymore.

: : : One of them had left in the 70s sometime and there
: : : was a younger player in the group. I don't recall
: : : them doing any new songs from the late 60s on;
: : : most of the time they did their own arrangements
: : : of other peoples' popular hits.

: : : I think they recorded at least 25 albums during their career, and probably more.

: : Yes......I haven't heard of Trio Bel Canto since I was a kid and I was astounded to actually find ANY of their music at all. On CD, for that matter!

: : I did a search for the music recording label called Fiesta and nothing came up.

: : My Papou must have bought the LP's back in the late 1950's and we still have them around. Unfortunately, over the years and through a few moves, they have become quite scratched up.

: : It's amazing what music does to bring back such wonderful childhood memories.
: : I LOVED listening to my Papou, my Dad , Ben and Oscar all play at the AHEPA in Akron, Ohio!

: : And so the search continues>>>

As a young American born Greek, I grew up listening to my parents LP's of the Trio Bel Canto. I have converted 18 of their LP's to CD. The quality is pretty good. I listen to them all the time--songs you just don't find anymore and they are not available on cd from GMV, etc.
