Of course they all do. In all out of the way spots and non-tourist places only greek is spoken and most older people everywhere only know greek. But I now understand that english as a subject is compulsory in schools so all young people speak and understand it as they need it in summer for the tourists and commerce etc. You will still meet meet many people,fishermen and taxidrivers who wont understand a word of english.
