Anybody know about modern dance in Greece?

I am looking to study dance in Greece for a year, and I was wondering: what is the state of modern dance in Greece? Is it a relatively new field there, or is it well established? (when I speak of modern dance, I mean to exclude ballet and folk dancing) any help would be SO greatly appreciated.
