: I am doing by graduate thesis at the University of
: Oslo on the history of Greek Migration to the US.
: I know that Greek immigrants in the beginning of the
: century faced prejudice in some states of the US as
: for a example Omaha and North Carolina. I want to
: ask those Greeks who grew up in the US if they think
: they are still many Americans who would carry prejudice
: toward Greek people.

From what I've seen and experienced, it's been the other way around.
I worked for years in a Greek restuarant in Atlanta and saw daily how the owners (wife born in Greece, the husband born here.) and their whole family and Greek friends would bad mouth the Americans who came in a gave them their business.
I started to believe all Greeks were like this, even more so after I met my boyfriends' family (who are Greek) and learning how much they hated me for being American.

Now I know how my black girlfriend felt when her white boyfriends' family hated her for being black.
I'm still trying to keep an open heart and mind, but it's hard.

My dad says it's sad when what they call "culture" we American's call "RACISM"
