As a Greek who lives in America and reared children in America I think you are totally wrong. The town in which I live has a Greek community that dates to 1896. In this very community, just as in Greek communities all over America, Greek is still spoken and the idea of Hellinism is still instilled in our children. Saying you are a Greek-American does not diminish your Greek side.
