Happy Greek Independence Day

Found out this morning that March 25th is Greek Independence Day. Also read that Montreal has one of the biggest celebrations outside of Greece for this happy celebration. We live west of Montreal.

I am not of Greek decent (can you tell da), but may become a mother-in-law to a wonderful Canadian born young woman who's parents immigrated to Canada from Greece, several years ago.
At this point I know very little about our future daughter-in-law's heritage, Greece, the traditions etc. so am on a quest to learn all I can to be able to have a good strong bond with our son's intended.

One of my first learnings will be to have a good heart-to-heart talk with her.
