Here is the website for the American Hellenic Media Project. This organization monitors articles, reports, etc. that pertain to Greece and Cyprus. They sometimes can be a little extreme, but it is a good source to find out what is being said about Hellenism. They often have writing campaigns to respond to anti-Hellenic comments by the media. http://www.ahmp.org/
: If you have the time you should try and respond to articles, reports, etc. that are false or incorrect. The truth is everyone can't know everything about Greek history or culture, especially if they are not Greek. Something we hate to hear. That's why I think it is important to provide as much current information to people about Greece and Cyprus as possible. If anyone comes across articles that falsify Greek history or misrepresent Greek culture they should post it on this message board. That way those who are interested can respond. However, it is important to respond calmly and have correct facts to back up your arguments, or else they will say we are just nationalistic (they probably will anyways). But it is true, journalists (especially in the US) generalize Greek culture and often have little knowledge of Greek history and more generally the history of Greece's neighbors. This misinformation does not provide for deep and thorough analysis of Greece. For this reason it is our duty as Greeks, to provide non-Greeks (even diaspora Greeks who have not grown up in Greece) with as much information as we can regarding Hellenism.
: : Has anyone noticed the rise in assaults against greek history and culture?
: : How most North America journalists are just puppets who don't do their research?
: : When you see or hear attacks on hellenism, what do you do?
