: I need SOMEONE'S HELP!! I need the phrase 'Seize the Day' tranlated into Greek for me. (I know the Latin, 'Carpe Diem') but I need it in Greek. Please email me if you can. Thanks a MILLION!!!
Sharon,
Since no one has yet responded to your message I will do so even if my greek is not as eloquent as others on this board. I don't think there is a standard phrase in Greek for "Seize the Day" as there is in latin. In modern greek "Seize the Day" is literally:
Άρπαξε την ημέρα.
(capitals: ΑΡΠΑΞΕ ΤΗΝ ΗΜΕΡΑ.)
The above is pronounced as follows:
'Arpaxe tin im'era.
(Emphasise the vowel after the ').
That's the best I could do for you.
Joanna.
