: : Im an Australian hoping to marry an Orthodox Greek. I always dreamed of having a lovely wedding in a park. Does anyone know if it is possible for a Orthodox Priest to marry 2 people outside of the church?

: Greek Orthodox weddings are performed in a church only--otherwise they are not recognized by the church. An Orthodox priest will not perform a marriage ceremony unless both parties are Orthodox (marriage is a sacrement of the church, like Baptism). If you want more info, please log onto the Archdiocese website to find out more information on Orthodoxy...

Go to some island in Greece, last yeat in Crete for
example, weddings were done outside because their
churches are to small, the couple is inside for most
of the ceremony while others most wait outside,
a good view too, because its mostly open concept
