My grandfather George Tomporis was born in Messinia, Peloponessia on April 22, 1885 to Annie Metholopulos and Demetrios Tomporis (unsure if the surname was changed when he arrived in Ellis Island on June 4, 1904. He had 4 siblings-Kostantena (served in the Greek army), Demetrios, Nicholas, and Virginia. He
lived in Worcester, Massachusetts, married Ellen Packard and had seven children including my mother Katherine. He owned a restaurant in Worcester-The Wholesome Lunch. Seeking any info on his relatives living in the Peloponessia area. He may also have lived in Olympia as my mother's baptismal record from
St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in Worcester states
that he came from Olympia.
