I can see your point, however, it is still the parent's right and responsibility to DEMAND to see a detailed subject curriculum and teaching program for each of the subjects their child is enrolled in. Just as a responsible parent supervisises what their child watches on TV, surely getting a detailed picture of what their child is going to be 'absorbing' at school is just as important. There is an erosion of rights in this world right now, and my point is that it may be time for parents to start voicing an opinion. It's not all down to budget funding as to whether our children learn grammar and history, but down to exactly what is contained in every school curricula.
