Thanks Achilles - your posts are always very interesting and you make great contributions to this board. One thing I'd like your comment on, and that is the role of the hetiera (I don't know if I've spelled that correctly) in ancient Greece inasmuch as they were usually very well educated, or at least well educated enough to hold serious conversations with senior men of their community. What do you think?
