I grew uo in Norfolk, and there is a LARGE greek community in that area. The Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Granby street is where you will find most of the greeks there. There happens to be a very nice Greek who knows and works for the church and for the community, Tim Dermanis. He is the psalti.Talk to him after church one day , intro yourself and tell him you are new... he will give you the inside scoop. There is always stuff to do, especially now that summe ris almost here... (half of Va.Beach is owned by greeks.) Good luck and if anyone knows about Norfolk Greek community it is me and Tim Dermanis.
