Many trunks? Of course you must subscribe to a postmodernist view of all history in which actual dates are rendered meaningless in your culturally equilateral world. So be it. No point in arguing if you don't recognise the difference in dates of 350 common era (not AD so as not to offend your postmodernist temperament) and 1560 common era. As for why didn't Byzantium have a Renaissance? That is such a humorous question I'll answer it. Because it didn't NEED one, Byzantium was the living Rome. Your education is obviously western-Europe-centric which is a shame really. You know the Moors of Spain had more to do with the Renaissance than those politico-cultural western ferments that you mentioned in your post? There are historical sources other than those written in Britain and US. European history is NOT only white nor anglo.
