Sparta as the home of Greek philosophy

Postby WHEELER » Thu Jan 01, 2015 7:23 pm

All the textbooks out there proclaim that Greek philosophy was created by Ionians. Thales is announced as the first philosopher.

But that is not the case. Socrates in the Protagoras says that Crete and Sparta are the most ancient and fertile home of Greek philosophy. Every academic has laughed that off.

Here is a free and online book that proves that Crete and Sparta are the home of Greek philosophy: Part I, The Case of the Barefoot Socrates

There is a reason why Socrates was barefoot. There are huge consequences for that. It changes everything.
