I have seen many Greek men wearing their pinky fingernail quite lengthy. I asked my mom about it once and she told me that it is said that it is a status symbol and that many wealthy Greek men wear that nail long. Then when my dad left the room, she said, "I really think it's because they need to pick their noses!"
