I am going to have my second baby in October. Can I ask non-Greek Orthodox people to be godparents? Thie Greek Orthodox comes from my husband's side of the family (I am a Filipino Catholic, boy, did we have problems in the beginning!!). My in-laws are strict Orthodox, and very religious and traditional. My first child had our bestman as his godfather. I don't have anyone in our church that I feel a strong enough friendship or bond with to want to ask as godparents. Help. Any advice?
